Why do the English say they have the best sense of humor in the world?
Q. Is it because they have built a whole genre of comedy around breaking wind and toilet humor? Is it because someone falling over was voted the greatest comic moment of all time in the UK (Delboy in Only F & H)? Is it because they think F word is a witty one liner? (Watch their sketch shows - when in doubt just throw in an F word). Is it because the most sophisticated ironic comedies in the world eg the Simpsons and Frasier go over their heads and get tiny viewing figures on minority channels? Is it because their own high brow comedies eg Yes, Minister are always shown on minority channels because the networks know they'll fail on Prime Time? Frasier ran for years on prime time and the Simpsons is and has been voted the best cartoon ever in the UK so you really need to get your facts right stupid !
